Sindur IV is a handsome boat that was purchased by the author, in March 2020, at the beginning of the Covid-19 lock-down in the UK. Having been built as a one-off in 1988, by Camper & Nicholsons, and then had major upgrades in 2005 /2006, she had clearly been loved by two previous owners. However, in recent years she had suffered from some neglect. There was some water damage internally, due to leaks in the wheelhouse roof, and around some windows. The engines were also really very smokey. On top of that, she was filthy and weathered from being left on the hard for almost a year, without being washed down.
The blog attached to this site shows the progress made in sorting her out, and her adventures on the East Coast, and perhaps, further afield. Do follow along, and feel free to make comments or suggestions. If you wish to visit Sindur at any stage, do get in touch.
Hi Chris,
Nice to see Sindur en-route to Ipswich yesterday.
Just about to comment about Ford smokey engines only to realise I may have replied on the subject last year.
If by chance I haven’t please let me know and I will put something together which may help.
Best wishes, Ian.
P.S. If I did should I be able to view via your app. ? Or did I email you?
